Ratings For Recreational And Competitive Players.

Receive a rating to insure you’re comfortable and playing at the appropriate level and to give the club the ability to create more balanced tennis matches for both recreational and competitive players who are in club programs. There’s a place and a program for every level of player, from beginner to advanced!

Ratings In About 30-Minutes

League and Drill Director, Chriss Schaefer, conducts ratings. Schedule an appointment with Chriss and then come ready to play. You’ll serve, volley and hit groundstrokes with Chriss for approximately 15 minutes. Then Chriss will give you a ten-minute consultation about which programs may be best suited for you. Please note, you are not obligated to register for a program after receiving a rating.

When providing a rating, Chriss uses the National Tennis Rating Program of the USTA as a guideline (below), though club ratings tend to be .3 to .5 points higher than national ratings. Please remember that rating categories are generalizations about skill levels. You may actually play slightly above or below the skill level associated with your rating. Your rating is not meant to be permanent. If your level of play significantly changes, you should request a new rating.

To schedule a time for a free rating call the club, inquire at the Front Desk or email Chriss at cschaefer@obrfc.com. Racquets are provided as needed.
