Everybody In!

Being able to swim means you can play,  exercise, compete, relax and be safe in and around the water. It’s a true lifeskill and fortunately, one that can be really fun to learn. So let’s get the kids in the water, and with a pool that’s about 85°F, that’s easy to do.

Our experienced instructors provide a safe, positive and encouraging environment as they teach progressive skills. Classes are kept very small to create the best learning environment and because the swimmer’s best interest always comes first.

Class Prerequisites:

To swim at a particular level, swimmers must have aptitude of prerequisites of all levels that precede it.

Preschool: must be able to listen and follow directions.

Pre-Beginner: not fearful of the water; able to submerge face and head; able to blow bubbles while face is submerged; comfortable on back.

Junior Beginner: comfortable with instructor assisting; able to hold onto the wall, bob, jump into the pool with assistance, get out of the pool unassisted, swim five yards of freestyle and backstroke/elementary backstroke unassisted; have a knowledge of water safety rules.

Junior Intermediate and Advanced: able to swim one length of the pool freestyle and backstroke unassisted.

Junior Swim Clinic: able to swim four lengths of the pool unassisted; have a working knowledge of freestyle, backstroke and breaststroke. Must be assessed by an instructor and given permission to participate.

Advanced Junior Swim Clinic: must be assessed by an instructor and given permission to participate.
